Helpful Hints for Water
Customers

- Familiarize yourself with the location of your water meter.
- Keep your meter clear of debris, fences, shrubbery, etc. so that it is
easily accessible to Water Works, Inc. personnel for regular meter reading
and maintenance. A good rule of thumb is at least three to six feet of
clearance all the way around the meter.
- As with your water meter it is important that if you have a fire hydrant
located at or near your property that you keep this free of debris, shrubs,
and other obstructions. This is critical for maintenance as well as
emergency access for the fire department.
- If you suspect a leak, please contact us immediately.
- If at any time you experience a power outage, as occurs fairly regularly
in our area, please be sure to use water sparingly as often times these
outages can also affect the water system.
- There are alarms positioned at each well site, booster pump station,
reservoir. Although we do have equipment set up to call us upon an
emergency, if you notice an alarm condition it never hurts to contact us.
- Your water system is meant to provide you with safe and healthy drinking
water. If at any time you notice suspect activity please contact us
immediately.
