The Garwood Water
Cooperative drinking water system is located just north of the community of
Garwood, Idaho, along the east side of Highway 95. The water system currently
serves 113 residential connections.
The Garwood water system
consists of two wells, one 20 HP well pump and one 25 HP well pump. There are 3
reservoirs with a capacity totaling approximately 116,000 gallons, and 2 booster
pump stations. There are approximately 45,000 feet of 3”, 4”, and 6” class 160
PVC, class 200 PVC, and C 900 water lines. Construction of the water system
began in approximately 1988 and has continued with the Hooker Hill expansion
project which wrapped up in 2007.
The Garwood water system
is currently owned by the Garwood Water Cooperative, run by a board of elected
officers, and is operated by Water Works, Inc.
REMINDER
It is again the time of
year to get your sprinkler systems turned back on and to get those back flow
prevention devices tested and certified.
As always, this process
is VERY important to the well being of the water system and to those being
served.
Please Submit you test
results as soon as possible.
If you are new to the
system, have had and irrigation system installed within the last year, or can’t
recall ever having provided the information, please fill out a new questionnaire
and submit with your next bill payment.
